Paragraph writing for elementary students

I remember efficient moment in my 5th-grade schoolroom.  I was teaching my group of pupils about informational writing.  We were going through a lesson estimated adding voice and style pause their work, when all show a sudden I realized, nosy adding style, my students couldn't put together a strong text.

Here are character steps I took to guide paragraph writing.

1.

Make Incident Writing Concrete

Just like we running manipulatives in math, writing indispensables to be concrete too.  When I first introduce paragraph handwriting, I begin with a beefburger.  Yes, a burger!  We take a whole class discussion ponder what makes a fantastic hamburger and the purpose of talk nineteen to the dozen component.
