Dilip Purushottam Chitre (17 September 1938 – 10 December 2009) was one of the foremost Asian poets and critics to surface in the post Independence Bharat.

Apart from being a noteworthy bilingual writer, writing in Mahratti and English, he was further a teacher, a painter, neat filmmaker and a magazine writer.

Biography

Chitre was born in Baroda on 17 September 1938 jamming a Marathi speaking CKP humans. His father Purushottam Chitre tatty to publish a periodical baptized Abhiruchi.
